About Tended Mind Therapy
Tended Mind Therapy exists to offer well-deserved, uninterrupted space for telling your story, sharing fears, celebrating wins, and working toward meaningful mental health goals. This practice was created with the belief that therapy should feel like a place you can arrive as you are, without performance or pressure.

Origins
Tended Mind Therapy was created to bring humanness, connection, and stability back into the therapy room. After working within larger group practices, I realized that I needed to find a way to support the depth of work, consistency, or relational accountability I envisioned for my clients
Stepping out on my own was the path that allowed me to show up in the way I had always imagined: dedicated, present, and always prioritizing the therapeutic relationship.

Tended Mind Therapy is grounded in three core values I've discovered about the practice of therapy along the way: Relationship, Authenticity, and Meaningful Work. These values shape the environment clients step into and guide the intention behind every session.
Tended Mind Approach

Vision
At Tended Mind Therapy, you are conceptualized by your full story—where you’ve been, what you're navigating now, how you make meaning of who you are, and what you're striving toward. The work blends relational depth, pacing that honors the your readiness, and gentle exploration of the parts of ourselves we may have left untended.

Experience
Clients can expect that therapy may feel scary at first (it usually does), but over time the hope is that it feels grounding, honest, and spacious enough to explore without judgment. Established clients have described sessions as “feeling at home,” “feeling secure,” or noticing that they “always feel calmer by the end of the hour.”

Philosophy
I don’t believe people need to be “fixed.” I believe we benefit from space to explore our stories, have them witnessed, make new meaning from our pasts and present experiences, and experiment with who we want to become. With time, clients often develop self-trust, clearer boundaries, and ownership of the parts of themselves they once felt ashamed of or unsure about.

Commitment to Clients
Tended Mind Therapy is committed to ethical care, inclusivity, trauma-informed practice, and increased accessibility. As a Clinical Social Work Candidate, I hold inclusion and cultural humility as ongoing commitments rather than boxes to check. My learning is informed by trainings in LGBTQIA+ experiences, race and culture, intersectional identities, income disparities, systemic oppression, and more.

I am not perfect, and I don’t pretend to be. I expect to learn, to reflect on how my own identities show up in the room, and to take accountability when missteps or ruptures occur. I believe this is part of what strengthens the therapeutic relationship and allows for repair in a contained and regulated way.
