Tended Mind Therapy Values

Therapy is a deeply personal process. The values that guide my work shape how I show up in the room, how I think about healing, and how I support the people I work with. Below are some of the principles that inform my approach.

Compassion

Struggling is part of being human. My work is grounded in compassion—for the difficult emotions people carry, the ways we learn to protect ourselves, and the courage it takes to seek support. Therapy is a space where all parts of your experience are welcome.

Curiosity Over Judgment

Rather than focusing on what’s “wrong,” I believe in approaching challenges with curiosity. Many of our patterns developed for important reasons. Together we explore those patterns with openness so that greater understanding can lead to meaningful change.

Authentic Connection

Healing often happens through genuine human connection. I aim to create a therapeutic relationship that is collaborative, respectful, and authentic, where you feel safe enough to explore difficult experiences and emotions.

Growth and Flexibility

Change does not always happen in a straight line. Therapy is a process of learning, experimenting, and developing new ways of responding to life’s challenges. My role is to support you as you move toward greater flexibility, resilience, and self-understanding.

Meaning and Values

Many people come to therapy wanting more than symptom relief—they want a life that feels meaningful and aligned with who they are. I believe therapy can help people reconnect with what truly matters and take steps toward living in accordance with those values.
